Colorado - Saturday

Saturday morning the guys woke up early to go fish in Antero Reservoir and they had a great time! They caught 4 rainbow and 1 cutthroat trout that weighed around 2.5 pounds each. They were beautiful fish and I learned how to clean them and then Dida cooked them up for dinner. Fresh and tasty! While they were out fishing Dida and Jacob and I sat on the porch of the cabin and enjoyed the peaceful pine trees and all the cute critters that congregate at the feeders. There are many species of birds including hummingbirds, nuthatch, pinion jays, Stellar's jay, pine sisken, mountain bluebird, ringbacked swallows and mountain chickadee. They also get chipmunks, squirrels, black mountain squirrels, rabbits, and even the occasional black bear! (one had come and raided the feeders the night before we got there!)

Later that day Adam and Jacob and I took a short hike over to the creek that runs through Lost Creek Ranch. There was a heavy snowfall this year and now that it is all melting the creeks, rivers, and ponds are all flowing at amazing rates. Jacob is mesmerized by the water and will point and stare at it for as long as we'll let him. It's icy cold though, and we just splashed a little on to our hands and brrrrrrrrr!

The pic of me and Jacob is with Injun Joe who stands at the entrance to the cabin. How!
